Born in Crimea. In 1988 she moved with her family to Grozny. She studied at the Grozny Musical College (1989–1994). In 1998 she was displaced from her home to the Stavropol Krai region of Russia. She studied at the Rodchenko School of Photography (2010–2011). In 2011 she studied directing at the Russian State University of Cinema (VGIK), under the tutelage of Alexey Uchitel. At the time of writing she is a fifth year student. Kira, her debut short film, was awarded the jury prize at Sochi’s Kinotavr film festival 2015, as well as the prize for the best directing and filming at the VGIK International Festival.
